Hi there and welcome to my updated gallery website!

I’m an aspiring artist who uses photography as my medium. Harbor Springs, Michigan is home, but have travel all over the world during my business career. Now, I’m devoting myself to creating and sharing fine art images, hopefully beautiful and inspiring, that captured my emotions and feelings when the shutter button was pressed.

Photography has been lifelong pursuit, started seriously doing photography with a Nikon f501 film camera in 1987, while living in Manley NSW, Australia. Initially, I had difficultly in conveying my emotions in color so devoted myself to black and white images. Following the pioneering processes of Ansel Adams who defined black and white as a true artistic medium, I attended classes/workshops, joined like interest groups, and did a lot of self-teaching. Never satisfied with the quality and finished outcome when using third parties photo labs,  I took upon myself to control all aspects of the image from pushing the shutter button to framing the finished print. Having my own darkroom, I developed my exposed film into negatives, developed proof sheets, trial prints, and finished prints on archival museum quality paper. The process was taking only the highest quality print for mounting and using archival museum quality dry mounting processes and materials. All of my prints are meant to live well over 100 years.

This dedication to detail and quality still continues from the film world to digital, which also expanded my spectrum to include color. Today my emotions and feelings are captured on a full frame Nikon DSLR camera, which has greater image resolution and detail than my old friend, f501 film camera. I continue to print my own images now on an industry leading Epson professional printer. Besides printing, Epson is considered the industry leader in dispensing their unique pigmented inks which are rated as high in archival and longevity as past film process.

Please enjoy browsing through my galleries and images. My hope is that you may sense some of my emotions felt when the shutter was pressed and maybe just maybe you will create your own set of emotions and feelings that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for visiting!
